VIRTU on POPAI RUSSIA AWARDS 2019: deserved awards.

On March, 27-29, the 15th POPAI RUSSIA AWARDS contest took place as a part of “Design & Advertising NEXT” fair. The contest had noticeably increased: 60 companies performed 410 entries in 25 nominations, 100 the jury members evaluated them. 

Our company performed 43 entries in 20 sections of 12 nominations. We confirmed our high level by getting 7 gold, 8 silver, 7 bronze awards and one of major prizes: the POS of the Year (the POPAI RUSSIA members version).

The promo POS piano Martell won the POS of the Year (the version of POPAI RUSSIA members) as the best project among all displays shown at the contest area.

Unbelievable! We have achieved a result in the creative Concept nomination that’s impossible to be overtopped. All the participants of the nomination were under equal conditions of a single task to design POS displays for Huggies. Both our displays took gold and silver awards according to the jury version as well as to the client’s version. The display “Breath of the skin” took gold awards and the display “Armchair” took silver ones. We are proud of getting main awards in the competitive nomination with many worthy displays. 

We again proved our strong skills in producing POS for cosmetics and perfumery. The total amount of our awards for projects of this market section is equal to 11. For example, all three prizes in the Cosmetics & Perfumery/Permanent & Temporary nomination were given for our projects. The Givenchy gondola was the best of them.

We got gold and silver “Indian” statuettes in another section of the same nomination - Cosmetics & Perfumery/Mini-display. Paco Rabanne display took the 1st award. 

The fraction of permanent POS has tended to decrease in the total amount of entries in recent years. It reflects the market tendency. However, we go on producing permanent POS for our clients and got the major award in the Household appliances and electronics nomination for the endcap floor stand for Moulinex blenders.

One more trend of the contest and the POS market is the increase in the total number of entries in online nominations. VIRTU applied for the contest many projects in the field of exclusive branded furniture and decoration of shopping spaces. Our projects won all awards in the Shop-in-shop/Cosmetics & Perfumery and the Nina Ricci corner for TSUM was the best.

The Pop-up store CHANEL was recognized as the best in the Shop Design/Pop Up Store nomination.

The podium Chloe took silver award in the Cosmetics & Perfumery/Permanent & Temporary nomination. 

The 2nd place was taken by the Alexander McQueen display in the Cosmetics & Perfumery/Mini-display. 

The fraction of temporary displays has notably increased in recent years on the contrary to permanent POS. Our corrugated displays won in total three prizes during the contest. We took silver “Indian” statuette for the ZEWA theatre installation in the Household goods/Temporary nomination.

COCO Game Center project was the 2nd in the Shop-in-shop/Cosmetics & Perfumery.

Two more projects were awarded by silver “Indian” statuettes in the Shop-in-shop nomination: the mobile Dalmore bar (Alcohol section) and the M&M’s brand area in the “October” cinema (Others section).

The Make Up bar Dior Backstage in the Cosmetics & Perfumery/Permanent & Temporary and the Tefal Induction island stand in the Household goods/Permanent won bronze awards.

The New Year display for Nivea in the Skincare/Temporary and the New Year pallet display for MARS brands in the Food/Confectionery took 2nd places.

The augmented reality technology was a part of the mobile and interactive promo area for BOSS in the Shop-in-shop/Cosmetics & Perfumery nomination: shoppers were able to play football in one team with famous players. This one and two other projects took 3rd places: the SEPHORA store in the Shop Design/Spatial solutions and store design nomination and Pop Up Store CHANEL Ekaterinburg in the Shop Design/Pop Up Store nomination.

On April, 18 the award ceremony of the contest took place in a beautiful hall of the President hotel.  There was approximately 300 experts of Russian marketing at retail. We really appreciate the executives of the POPAI RUSSIA for excellent preparation of the event. 

VIRTU CEO Viacheslav Itkin had often to go on the stage to get awards of different nominations. It was twice when he got all three prizes of one nomination.

VIRTU chairman Vladimir Itkin got the POS of the Year award. The head of jury Artem Popov (CLARINS) and the executive director Anna Lebedeva were on the stage at this moment.
